4:44 Last Day on Earth Trailer

“At 4:44AM tomorrow morning, there will be no survivors. The world will end.” IFC Films has debuted an official trailer on IMDb (found via TheMovieBox) for Abel Ferrara’s 4:44 Last Day on Earth, essentially Ferrara’s crazy Southern take on the last days before the end of the world. Willem Dafoe stars with Paz de la Huerta as two of the characters in this near-apocalyptic film described literally as “a look at what would happen if everyone knew the world was ending.” I’m not really sure I’m into this take on that histeria, but I do love savage Dafoe and I do want to see what craziness it tries to address. Give this a shot anyway. ›››

The Dream is speaking out about his friend Rihanna saying it was her idea to add Chris Brown to the "Birthday Cake (Remix)". He added that if she has forgiven him, so should everyone else. Get the deets inside….

The Dream has spoken out to Billboard about Rihanna’s controversial "Birthday Cake Remix" saying,

"For me, it’s just music — two talented people doing a record together, doing two records together, and that’s what it was. It wasn’t about an incident that happened. The true thing really is to forgive, and… you want to believe in people."

He added,

"It was Rih’s idea.  Not only do we work together, but [Rihanna] is a friend of mine. And it’s like, ‘You wanna do something? Then cool, let’s do it.’ I don’t know how she got the logistics and how it happened — maybe she’ll talk about it one day. I showed up at the studio, and it was like, ‘All right, cool, let’s finish this record,’ which we probably should have finished the first time we did it."

All in all, he ended by saying, "Because this is about her, if she can forgive, that’s where she is mentally. As a friend, it’s like, ‘Okay, cool. Let’s roll.’"

So it seems like many folks are moving on from the Chris Brown incident from a few years ago.  On forgiving Chris, he said,

"I think [the topic] that should be more on the tongues is: how do we proclaim to be a nation of forgiving, and we go by all of these rules and everything, but we can’t actually do it? It actually makes you look weaker than your adversary — if you don’t have the power to forgive, but you lie and say that you did.

Interesting point.  Thoughts?

Oscars season wouldn’t be Oscars season without a little irreverence; who didn’t love it when South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone cross-dressed for the 2000 Oscars? No one. According to Deadline, however, the Academy has pulled Sacha Baron Cohen‘s Oscars tickets, effectively banning him from the event, after rumors suggested that the Hugo star planned to walk the red carpet as his character from the upcoming film The Dictator. What, is the Academy afraid Cohen will ruin the dignified tone of the event? You guys know you’re letting the Muppets present, right? They are just people’s hands! Covered with really intricate gloves!

If they really want to ban a character from Sunday’s proceedings, might we recommend Mike Myers‘ deeply off-putting Cecil Worthington, an etiquette coach who terrorizes Kevin Kline with fun-sized Snickers and us with that comb over in today’s new Funny or Die Oscar promo? Seems like a double standard to embrace some freaks and not the others! Unless the Academy is concerned about dealing with camel poop, in which case…they are probably in the right.

Tugg.com Website

One complaint I hear time and time again is that many great indie films we talk about never show in cities where people live. They never come, or they show up randomly for two weeks then disappear again. So how can you actually get a movie to come to your town and play there? Well, there’s a new site launching called Tugg that’s aiming to solve this problem, or at least attempt to organize local groups. The site is just in pilot stage but can be accessed at Tugg.com. In web lingo, I’d call it Demand It (from Paranormal Activity) meets KickStarter, and if they’ve got all the right studio connections, this will work wonders for film fans all over. ›››

Keeping himself warm in a black peacoat and dark jeans, Justin Timberlake was spotted while filming for his latest movie in New York City on Wednesday (February 22).

Also rocking a new hairdo, the singer-turned-actor grew out his coif and combed it to the side for the 1960′s era film “Inside Llewyn Davis”.

The movie – which is set to hit theaters in 2013 – follows a singer-songwriter navigating through New York’s folk music scene.

Also among the cast members, the 31-year-old is joined by Carey Mulligan, Garrett Hedlund, Oscar Isaac and John Goodman.

Timberlake’s previous film, “In Time,” was released October of 2011 and brought in over $ 12 million during opening weekend.

It looks like the visual for “Rella” was just a preview of what’s to come from Odd Future. The Cali rappers will be taking their act to the small screen for Loiter Squad, which will premiere on the Adult Swim channel on March 25th.

The launch of their sketch comedy show will surely provide a lot of random, and very off the wall  moments. Be on the look out for their upcoming project The OF Tape Vol. 2 dropping March 20th.

Daniel von Bargen–probably best known for his recurring television roles on Seinfeld and Malcolm in the Middle–is reportedly in critical condition following a failed suicide attempt. TMZ has the tape of the actor’s 911 call, which begins with the admission, “I’ve shot myself in the head, and I need help,” and only gets more harrowing from there. According to von Bargen’s labored description of the circumstances surrounding the event, the O Brother, Where Art Thou? actor was meant to go to the hospital today to have several toes amputated due to complications with his diabetes. Tragically, he instead put a .38 Colt to his temple, and by the time the police arrived to the scene, he was unable to open his eyes.

Listen to the haunting recording if you want, but you’re definitely better off remembering him by watching this Mr. Kruger “best of” and letting loose a doleful K-OOGER in support of the actor.

A supposed former publicist for Kim Kardashian has been forced to make a public apology after copping to spreading false information about the reality star.

Jonathan Jaxson, who claimed he was Kardashian‘s publicist from 2007 to 2009, told “Good Day L.A.” in November that her 72-day marriage to Kris Humphrieswas staged.”

Alleging he had insider information, Jaxson insisted the nuptials were fake but never managed to prove it.

As Gossip Cop previously reported, a lawyer for Kardashian denied the two ever worked together and  vowed to take legal action.

Now, the two parties have reached a settlement, which includes Jaxson admitting he was lying.

“I wanted to apologize publicly to Kim Kardashian for any confusion that I may have caused by the personal statements I made recently regarding Kim Kardashian,” Jaxson wrote on his website.

He continued, “I would like to further clarify that I did not have any first hand knowledge of Kim’s relationship with Kris.”

“Any statement I made regarding Kim and her marriage was my opinion only,” Jaxson added, “and was not intended to imply first hand knowledge of Kim’s thoughts and feelings.”

For her part, Kardashian’s lawyer tells Gossip Cop she is “very happy” and “extremely pleased with the outcome of the matter.”

Paula Abdul has reached a settlement with the woman who sued her in 2009 after falling in her driveway – but Abdul will NOT have to “cough up” $ 900,000, contrary to a TMZ report.

Jill Kohl, who took the spill on Abdul’s property, is getting the big payout from insurance companies, not Abdul herself.

“Absolutely no monies of the settlement will be paid by Paula Abdul,” her attorney tells Gossip Cop in a statement.

It continues, “All monies agreed to be paid to Jill Kohl as part of the settlement will be funded by the parties’ respective insurance carriers. While a settlement was reached between the parties in the case, we were confident that she would prevail at trial.”

“The decision to settle the case was a business decision made solely by Ms. Abdul’s insurance carrier,” explains Abdul’s lawyer.
